Refunds & Returns
By placing an order with Date Sultan, you confirm that you understand and accept this policy. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected — please read on for details of how we handle damaged, defective, or incorrect orders.
Why we don't accept returns
Our dates are a fresh, perishable food product. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (and equivalent EU law), perishable goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right of cancellation.
Once a product has left our premises, we cannot guarantee the conditions in which it has been stored or handled, and we are unable to resell returned food items. This policy is in place to protect the quality, safety, and integrity of every order we send out.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@datesultan.com with:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photographs of the product and packaging
We will assess each case individually and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund at our discretion. Please retain the original packaging and product until the matter is resolved, as we may need to inspect or collect the items.
Order cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@datesultan.com. We can only cancel orders that have not yet been dispatched. Once an order has been packed or handed to our courier, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Failed or undelivered orders
If a delivery fails because of an incorrect address, an unavailable recipient, or refusal of the parcel, we are unable to offer a refund. Please ensure your delivery details are correct at the point of order.
Gift orders, hampers & corporate orders
Bespoke, personalised, or corporate gifting orders — including wedding favours, branded hampers, and bulk corporate gifts — are made to order and non-refundable under any circumstances, except where the product is defective or damaged on arrival.
