An ethical empire built on a single date.
In 2021, Syed Usman Shah travelled to a date farm in Madinah to help with the harvest. The labourers — many of them victims of modern slavery — began to call him the Sultan after he asked and ensured for them to paid a fair living wage. The name stuck, and so did the mission.
"Every date we sell carries a fair wage, a fair price, and a fair story."
Today, Date Sultan sources from carefully audited farms across Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt and trusted suppliers from Palestine — refusing to work with illegal settlers and ensuring every hand in our supply chain is paid fairly.
