From the orchards of Al-Qassim, Sukari literally means "sugary" in Arabic — and the dried variety is its boldest expression. Pale gold, crunchy on the outside, melting in the middle, with a flavour closer to butterscotch than to any other date. Less known in the UK, beloved across Saudi households.
